For the first time ever, a retro video game convention is coming to Kalamazoo, Michigan, on August 29th, bringing together gamers of all generations and interests for a one-day event. This all-ages event allows for kids 5 and under to enter free with an adult admission, and will offer a day full of gaming for all to enjoy. Parking is free at the Delta Hotels Marriott Conference Center, and pre-purchased tickets start at just $20 for adults!

With a sold-out vendor hall featuring regional video game vendors, artists, makers, board games, and trading card games, MRGE has something set up for anyone who likes gaming! There will be a kids' room with activities and fun for the little ones, a free play room featuring classic video games for anyone to play, trading card games, a board game library to check out and enjoy your favorite games (ID required), live learn-to-play Dungeons and Dragons sessions, special guests, video game tournaments, photo-ops, independent game developers, and more!

Throughout Saturday the 29th, attendees will also be treated to live panels throughout the day hosted by industry veterans and content creators, and will culminate in a live version of the hit British panel show TASKMASTER featuring five amazing guests competing against each other to complete mundane tasks in the most creative ways.

“Games go back as long as human history does,” said Chief Content Officer Jay Malone. “This is just an extension of that, celebrating humanity's adoration of gaming in all forms. I can’t wait for people to come, excitedly talk about their favorite NES games, roll some dice in a D&D session, cosplay as their favorite character, or just enjoy being amongst your fellow geeks. Games are good. It’s fun to celebrate that!”

If you’ve ever rolled dice, tapped your mana, or said to yourself, ‘Just one more level!’ you’ll find something you’ll love at the Michigan Retro Game Expo!
