The Lone Bellow who first burst onto the music scene with their self-titled debut in 2013 has become known for their transcendent harmonies, serious musicianship, energetic live performances, and a wildly appreciative fan base.

St. Cecilia Music Center (SCMC) welcomes back Nashville-based and Brooklyn bred folk band The Lone Bellow  on March 8, 2025. During this season’s U.S. tour across the country, The Lone Bellow will feature a lively evening of music highlighting their album Walk Into A Storm along with their many other popular releases. 

 

Executive & Artistic Director of SCMC Cathy Holbrook says, “We are so happy to have The Lone Bellow return to St. Cecilia Music Center. They last appeared on stage at St. Cecilia Music Center to a sell-out crowd and we so ready for another great evening with them on March 8!

Other artists appearing on the Acoustic Café Folk Series in March include beloved singer songwriter Judy Collins on March 13, 2025, and powerful duo The War and Treaty on March 28, 2025.

The Lone Bellow Bio:

 

The Lone Bellow burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut in 2013. The Brooklyn-based band quickly became known for their transparent harmonies, serious musicianship and raucous live performance – a reputation that earned them their rabid fan base. The trio, featuring Zach Williams(guitar/vocals), Kanene Donehey Pipkin (multi-instrumentalist), and Brian Elmquist (guitar) have released five albums since 2013 including, 

 

  • The Lone Bellow: The band's debut album, released in 2013.
  • Then Came the Morning: Released in 2015. This album earned the band an American Music Award nomination.
  • Walk Into a Storm: Released in 2017. This album was recorded at RCA Studio A in Nashville. 
  • Half Moon Light: Released in 2020. This album features the radio hits “Count On Me” and “Dried Up River”.
  • Love Songs for Losers: Released in 2022. This album is described as the band's most expansive and eclectic work.
  • Live: Released in 2023. 

 

Throughout the band’s meteoric rise, they have appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Late Show With David Letterman," "Conan O'Brien," "CBS This Morning," "Later...with Jools Holland," and "The Late Late Show With James Corden". The Lone Bellow created Walk Into A Storm, released Sept. 2017 on Sony Music Masterworks. Walk Into A Storm was produced by legendary music producer Dave Cobb (producer for Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, and more) and features their lead single "Time's Always Leaving." The band recorded this album in only seven days. The group's first two albums graced the Billboard 200.
