The South Haven Van Buren County Convention and Visitors Bureau (SHVBC CVB), Shooting Star, and South Haven Mayor Annie Brown are inviting residents to participate in the first-ever Sparkle Showdown. This community-wide competition encourages neighbors to transform their homes with festive holiday decor and vote for their favorite displays throughout the community.

“The holiday season in South Haven is truly magical, and we’re excited to see how the competition makes this time of year even more special," said Jennifer Sistrunk, executive director of the SHVBC CVB. "The Sparkle Showdown is a wonderful opportunity for neighbors to let their creativity shine and bring the spirit of the season to life!”

There are no fees to participate in the Sparkle Showdown or to view the homes, but competing households must sign up by December 1, 2024. Participating homes will then be included in the Sparkle Showdown digital pass that will be shared with the public for community voting, open from December 9-23, 2024. The top three displays, announced on Christmas Eve, will win cash prizes of up to $1,500.
