Evening fundraiser at John Ball Zoo highlights conservation, culture, and community
Sponsored by BISSELL, RendeZoo: The Ripple Effect invites guests to experience an unforgettable evening of entertainment, conservation, and community at John Ball Zoo.
Set against the glowing backdrop of the Grand Rapids Lantern Festival, guests will enjoy an immersive after-hours experience strolling through the magical lantern displays while supporting the Zoo’s mission to save wildlife and wild places.
“RendeZoo is an amazing opportunity to support John Ball Zoo and the important work being done to educate our community and care for more than 2,000 animals,” said Taylor Chrisman, development events manager at John Ball Zoo. “We encourage our community to join us for an exciting, musical evening against the beautiful backdrop of the Grand Rapids Lantern Festival to fundraise for the conservation of wildlife and wild places.”
Guests will enjoy food and drinks from several local restaurants and vendors showcasing a diverse range of culinary specialties and flavors throughout the evening. Zoo staff will also provide immersive experiences including keeper chats and ambassador animal visits, offering guests an up-close look at the Zoo’s conservation efforts both locally and around the world.
Live entertainment throughout the night will feature interactive experiences and vibrant performances across the Zoo, including dueling pianos, a steel drum band, roaming entertainers, a bubble artist, immersive photo opportunities, and more, creating an unforgettable atmosphere filled with music, energy, and celebration.
The evening also features an exclusive silent auction with curated items and experiences ranging from behind-the-scenes animal encounters to luxury goods and unique local adventures. Every bid helps fund the Zoo’s critical conservation, education, and animal care programs.
General admission tickets for RendeZoo are $100 until June 1st, then $125 until June 12. Silent auction bidding opens June 8 and closes June 12 at 9 p.m. Participants do not need to be present to win.
Guests are encouraged to embrace the event’s water-inspired theme with summer cocktail attire featuring ocean blues, soft aquas, shimmering accents, and vibrant summer style inspired by the movement and beauty of water.
