Archival Brewing started with the sole purpose of recreating historic beer while serving up scratch-made food all in a community-driven environment.
First things first: beer. Our approach to brewing is simple - recreating historic and forgotten styles of beer from around the world, tapping into ancient brewing processes, ingredients, and recipes. We want to stay true to the style of what our ancestors would have consumed, whether that be beer, cider, or mead, in an effort to preserve what history created. It’s also important for us to always offer a handful of gluten-free options with dedicated GF lines, whether that be our scratch-made cider or mead, or our wine and mimosas.
Next up: food. The owners met at and graduated from Secchia Institute for Culinary Education. So naturally they wanted a menu that reflected their passion for food while still having it be approachable. Every dish down to the sauces, garnishes, and stocks is made from scratch, in house daily. Plus, our menu changes seasonally, utilizing local ingredients from area farms and purveyors. Each dish pairs uniquely with our tap list for a delicious, well-rounded dining experience.
Equally important to us is our location. Situated in lovely Belmont with 7.2 acres of pure Michigan land, the beauty of the outdoors surrounds us. Whether you’re dining in our rustic-style dining room, indoor and outdoor bars, wraparound deck, or under the covered pergola in our biergarten, you can’t miss the view out back overlooking Plainfield Township parks and disc golf course. Chill out around a fire pit, play yard games with friends, or listen to live music in our spacious biergarten with your pups. There’s a seat for everyone at Archival (even your furry friends!).
Whether you’re grabbing a quick beer or having a meal with friends, and family we invite you to disconnect and engage with each other over historic-style microbrews and seasonally-crafted regional eats. Utilizing local resources to create all our craft beverages as well as our food menu in sustainable ways, we strive to intentionally cultivate community in every aspect.”
