Raven Hill Discovery Center (Raven Hill) is thrilled to introduce Haley Breniser as the new Executive Director, marking an exciting chapter in the organization’s 34-year history of hands-on learning. Raven Hill’s decision to build on its strong foundation by strengthening its staffing model has been years in the making. This intentional move toward a vibrant future is an important turning point, one that honors Raven Hill’s past while building momentum for the future. Brandon Hill, Chair of the Leadership Transition Committee formed to guide the board through executive search process commented, “To successfully transition from a founder led organization takes thoughtful strategy. A competitive process spanning over several months included two interview panels comprised of Leadership Transition Committee and community members and resulted in finding a candidate that was the perfect fit for Raven Hill. The board is confident that Haley has the skillset and character that will strengthen the organization in critical areas. Haley has a solid background in all things required to advance Raven Hill to long term sustainability. Equally as important, her personality is a definite cultural fit and her leadership style will bridge the past, present and future of Raven Hill in a way that will ensure it remains a cherished community asset for years to come.”
In Haley’s role as Executive Director, she will focus on advancing the organization in areas critical to long-term sustainability. I look forward to working alongside the staff, board, volunteers, and community to carry this mission forward, ensuring that Raven Hill remains a place where curiosity is sparked, creativity is nurtured, and connections are made across generations."
Haley is a seasoned nonprofit leader with a deeply rooted commitment to experiential learning, community connection, and lifelong curiosity. Throughout her more than 20 years in the non profit sector, she has guided organizations through periods of transition and growth, uniting teams with shared vision and strong operational foundations. Her work is characterized by an ability to think strategically while building meaningful relationships and cultivating lasting impact—from strengthening internal systems and modernizing operations to designing mission driven programming and securing transformational funding.
Founder, Cheri Leach will remain as Program Director focusing her decades of experience and creative energy on deepening and expanding the impact of Raven Hill programs. The board is thrilled to have her vision and inspiration continue to guide the work of Raven Hill. Together, Haley and Cheri will provide leadership that balances the past and the future. Continuity and
innovation will lay the foundation for a smooth transition, stronger programming, and a future full of curiosity, creativity, and connection. Cheri commented, “I am thrilled to see the vision that built Raven Hill pass to a new group of dreamers and doers. What began as our passion for hands-on learning has grown into a movement powered by inspiration and united by a mission to create discovery at every turn.” As Raven Hill enters this exciting new chapter of growth, the board and staff remain committed to ensuring its mission continues to inspire generations to come.
