This spring, Grand Traverse Bike Tours is putting a little extra zip in their classic Leelanau Wine Trail Bike Tour with the launch of E-Bike the Vines Tour. This self-guided, winery-to-winery ride cruises along the paved Leelanau Trail. Sip the region’s best wines, picnic overlooking vineyards, and soak up the views. This is the ultimate northern Michigan wine country adventure!
“Our e-bikes make for the perfect tour experience, they flatten out the rolling hills and they keep the group together” says Grand Traverse Bike Tours Owner Nick Wierzba. “Everybody can have more fun, travel farther and venture to those wineries off the beaten path. When you are on vacation, indulge yourself and experience an e-bike!”
The E-Bike the Vines Tour is available everyday from April 19 2025 through November 8 2025. This tour starts at 11am and runs until 3:30-4:00pm. Guests also have the option to extend their tour for no additional cost, visiting additional wineries and returning later in the day. Tickets for this day-long self guided tour are priced at $105 per person. The tour includes: individually planned and curated tour route, e-bike and helmet, souvenir water bottle, catered picnic lunch at a winery overlooking the vineyards, wine pick up service, and roadside van support.
Guests will ride 12-18 miles along the paved Leelanau Trail, making easy detours to boutique wineries via quiet county roads. The tour will visit four local wineries, with scenic views of rolling vineyards and the picturesque Leelanau countryside. Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the best wineries in the Grand Traverse region, all while sipping award-winning wines. With Grand Traverse Bike Tours’ wine pick-up service, bike worry free! Just text and they will pick up any bottles of wine you have purchased and have it waiting for you at the finish. GTBT has partnered with the following wineries to offer this exciting tour, Blackstar Farms, Shady Lane Cellars, Two K Vineyards, Willow Vineyards, Suttons Bay Ciders, Ciccone Vineyards, bigLittle Wines and L Mawby Vineyards, The Leelanu Trail, part of the TART Trails network, makes it safe, scenic, and easy to cycle through the countryside.

This tour is for adults ages 21 and older and will require ID verification at each winery. Tour attendees should plan for the weather by wearing layers, closed toe shoes, and casual athletic clothing.
Grand Traverse Bike Tours is housed in the Suttons Bay Bike shop right off of M-22 in downtown Suttons Bay and is a year-round shop featuring a full line of retail and rental bikes, stand up paddle boards, cross country skis, and snowshoes.
