Chris Pettit has begun his new post as the Senior Manager of Recreation at The Homestead. Chris comes to the resort having most recently served as the general manager of a full-service hotel, overseeing all the aspects of the property. His previous positions include working as director of a tennis camp, on entertainment and event teams at resort properties, and as a business analyst.
That rich and varied background gives Pettit an overview of what clients and customers need and desire and how to help them enjoy their time at The Homestead, whether that’s for a weekend or the summer. He says he is looking forward to meeting guests and members and learning about their ideas and priorities for the resort’s recreation programs. “It is essential that we know what the people we are serving want and expect from our recreation programs,” he says. “We will continue to be responsive to their ideas as we implement more and different programs.”
Pettit says a key consideration for him is building a more efficient and streamlined system for issuing membership and guest passes. “We want to make enjoying the amenities here as easy and enjoyable as possible,” he says.
