As families look for affordable ways to enjoy summer amid rising travel costs, Discover Holland is launching Free Summer Fun for Everyone, a free mobile pass featuring more than 30 family-friendly activities, attractions, and events throughout the Holland area.

Created as a summer bucket list of Holland's best free experiences, the mobile pass encourages residents and visitors alike to discover the many attractions, events, and hidden gems that make Holland a favorite summer destination.

Participation is completely free. Users simply sign up online and add the pass to their smartphone. Powered by Bandwango, the mobile pass looks and feels like an app but is actually a mobile-optimized website, eliminating the need for an app download.

"Whether you're visiting Holland for the first time or have lived here for years, there's always something new to discover," said Linda Hart, Executive Director of Discover Holland. "This pass highlights the many free experiences that make summer in Holland special while rewarding participants for exploring the community. We wanted to create an easy way for families to build their own Holland summer bucket list without worrying about the cost. As travel costs continue to rise, we're excited to showcase experiences that are accessible to everyone and demonstrate that some of Holland's best summer memories don't have to come with a price tag."

Participants can check in at a variety of free experiences throughout the community, including the Pumphouse Museum, Holland Bowl Mill Tour, Wizard of Oz Exhibit, a Holland Symphony Orchestra concert, Movies at the Ribbon, Chess Park, and many other seasonal attractions, events, and hidden gems that showcase the best of a Holland summer.

As an added incentive, participants who complete just 10 check-ins will earn a complimentary Downtown Holland Coupon Book, a $10 value. The coupon book contains valuable offers and savings from Downtown Holland retailers and restaurants and is valid throughout 2026.

Free Summer Fun for Everyone is available June 19 through Labor Day and joins Discover Holland's growing collection of free digital passes, affectionately known as "Klomps," inspired by the traditional Dutch wooden shoe. Other popular Klomps include:

  • The Public Art Klomp, which guides participants through Holland's Downtown vibrant public art scene.

  • The Koffie Klomp, featuring local coffee shops and cafés throughout the area.

  • The Handcrafted Klomp, inviting participants to sip and savor Holland's craft beverage scene.
