"Our mission is to get people active in some unique and fun ways," said Daniel Bonner, Outdoor Adventure Specialist at Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park. "This spring event is a simple way to bridge the gap between our winter and summer seasons and remind people to get outside."
All guided hikes will take place on trails within Muskegon State Park. In 2024, Muskegon Luge partnered with Run Muskegon and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to install new trail signage throughout the park. Run Muskegon provided funding and volunteer labor for the project.
Trinity Health Muskegon experts will be on hand during the events to provide guidance on hiking and information on nutrition and exercise.
“Our teams are excited to connect with our community during the upcoming Wellness Week. Whether you’re a hiker, runner, fisher, or simply love being outdoors, there’s something for everyone to enjoy,” said Jaclyn Kane, director of Rehabilitation at Trinity Health Muskegon. “As the weather warms up, we’re eager to help families get outside and make the most of it with our tips, resources, and ways to support their health. This partnership is a great opportunity to connect with our community and prioritize health, all things Trinity Health Muskegon continually strives to achieve.”
