Year Two of Paint the Town Maroon is Underway
The Mt. Pleasant Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (MPACVB) is thrilled to partner with the Community Relations Committee at CMU on the Paint the Town Maroon initiative! This initiative aims to welcome students back and encourage students, faculty, staff, and community members to explore all that the Mt. Pleasant area has to offer.
“There is so much to see and do in our community. We have amazing restaurants and incredible locally owned shops. There are hundreds of events each year, including live music and festivals. We have museums and galleries – there are even classes to help you explore your artistic side,” said Chris Rowley, President/CEO of the MPACVB. “And all that is in addition to our incredible outdoor offerings, with beautiful parks and trails. We want to make sure everyone is aware of how much we have to offer,” said Rowley.
As part of the Paint the Town Maroon initiative, the MPACVB is hosting the “Fire Up and Find It Challenge” on the Meet Mt. Pleasant mobile app. This cellphone-based game invites participants to check in at 30 locations throughout the community and enter to win a CMU-inspired prize for individuals.
