For 57 years, the Fallasburg Arts Festival
has brought together artists, families, and art lovers for a weekend of creativity and community. This year’s
festival, hosted by Lowell Arts on September 20 and 21 at scenic Fallasburg Park, will feature
100 juried fine art and craft booths, welcoming over 20,000 visitors from across Michigan and
beyond.
"This festival represents the best of what community arts can be," says Janet Teunis, Executive
Director of Lowell Arts. "When you see families creating memories while discovering incredible
art, and artists connecting directly with people who appreciate their craft, you understand why
we've been doing this for nearly six decades."

guests of all ages and abilities (Saturday Noon-4pm, Sunday Noon-3pm).
Festival guests are invited to participate in our Community Art Quilt as part of our public art
initiative. Pick up a quilt square in the Children's Area or at the Information booth, decorate it
however you'd like, and return it to Lowell Arts by the end of the month - all ages and abilities
are invited to participate. All squares will be stitched together and displayed downtown as a
collective community artwork later this year.
Traditional Craft Demonstrations
Visitors can watch master craftspeople demonstrate traditional skills including fly tying, quilting,
weaving, spinning, needle felting, and wood turning in the pavilion. The West Michigan Avid
TypeWriters will feature an array of manual typewriters, where guests of all ages are invited to
type out their own notes on provided stationery and experience these nostalgic machines
firsthand. Glass blowers will be creating objects outdoors, offering spectators a chance to
witness this art form up close.
Food, Raffle, and Community Support
A wide variety of food booths will offer fall-inspired festival fare throughout the event. Support
Lowell Arts by participating in the annual raffle, featuring over 75 artist-donated items, including
