The S.S. Badger: Lake Michigan Carferry will kick off the 2026 summer season as a highlight of the Love Ludington Weekend, offering a special Open Boat Night on Friday, June 5, and a Scenic Shoreline Cruise on Saturday, June 6. Guests can enjoy live entertainment, local flavors, and unparalleled views of the Lake Michigan coast.
To start the weekend, step aboard the historic S.S. Badger on Friday, June 5, 8 – 11 PM, for an Open Boat Night while it is docked in Ludington for a casual evening aboard this National Historic Landmark. For just $10, guests can explore passenger areas and outer decks. The event features live entertainment in the Cabana Room, full-service bars and concessions and gift shop access for souvenirs.
On Saturday, June 6, 9 - 11 PM, enjoy a 2-hour leisurely Badger Shoreline Cruise along the Ludington shoreline. This evening experience offers breathtaking photo and sunset opportunities of the Lake Michigan coast, appetizers, desserts, and a cash bars. Live music in the Cabana Room will set a festive mood.
