The Kids’ Art Rocks! Arts Alive gallery show will host a reception on Tuesday, July 7 at 6pm in the Tibbits Art Gallery to celebrate the work of student artists.
Earlier this year, K-12 students throughout the region submitted art of varying mediums to the Kids’ Art Rocks! gallery show. Each submission is displayed for the exhibit, with the top selections for each age group matted and framed for lease by area businesses for a year. The Kids’ Art Rocks! gallery is on display now until July 7 in the Tibbits Art Gallery.
The top selections will be announced at the Kids’ Art Rocks! gallery reception. An art supply giveaway will also be held at the reception.
Reception doors open at 6pm for viewing and People’s Choice voting during the open-house style gathering in the lower-level art gallery of Tibbits Opera House. The reception is free and open to the public. The presentation of prizes and art supply giveaways for young artists in attendance will begin around 6:45pm. All artwork not chosen for the year-long lease will be available for pickup immediately following the reception. Additionally, businesses attending the reception will have the opportunity to select artwork for sponsorship and display.
Arts Alive gallery shows rotate approximately every six weeks in the lower level art gallery of Tibbits Opera House, located at 14 S. Hanchett St. in Coldwater, Michigan. There is no charge to view the gallery, which is open before and during all Tibbits events or by appointment Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Once the Kids’ Art Rocks! gallery show concludes, local artists are invited to participate in the upcoming gallery shows, “Drip, Dribble, Splash” and “Goosebumps.” Details on gallery exhibits and submission details are available at Tibbits.org or by calling Tibbits at 517-278-6029.
