On Wednesday, April 22, the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary will be offering free admission in celebration of Earth Day.

There are many ways to enjoy the gifts of nature at the Sanctuary. Take the shorter Paved Path or the longer Lake Loop Trail for close-up views of waterfowl including native Trumpeter Swans. Find the Sanctuary spot that's home to its ambassador birds—Bald Eagles, Red-tailed Hawks and several owl species. Walk the Bluebird Trail, learn about the impact of restoration plantings and observe a prairie restoration project. Visit the Sanctuary gardens to see native plants in action—as well as the pollinators that coexist with them.

The Sanctuary will be open Wednesday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary is located at 12685 E. C Ave. in Augusta. Questions? Contact the Sanctuary at birdsanctuary@kbs.msu.edu or (269) 671-2510.
