Hundreds of students from local schools will make John Ball Zoo their classroom on Wednesday, Sept. 10, for a special biology lesson.

The students will come from the three Forest Hills high schools as part of their biology classes. They will visit a dozen stations around the Zoo that will showcase artifacts like bones, animal shells and more to learn about animal behavior and design enrichment activities for animals.

John Ball Zoo is hosting the more than 600 students and about 80 teachers and chaperones for free thanks to the John Ball Zoo and Grand Rapids Public Museum Millage which was approved by voters in 2016 and provides free field trips for Kent County school groups.
