The International Festival of Holland brings the world’s art, dance, music, and food to West Michigan on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Holland Civic Center. This free, family-friendly event features live entertainment. “This year’s festival entertainment brings music and dance performances that are both interactive and fun for the whole family,” says Esther Fifelski, Human Relations Director. In addition to the Festival Mercado, the Children’s Fiesta and the International Food Trucks, there will be live performances schedule throughout the day. Performance schedule:
Pacific Island Dancers - 4:10. Pacific Island Dancers will perform the “Hula” which is sung in Hawaiian and English, perform other historical dances to honor the last king of Hawaii, and other romantic songs from Hawaii.
Pokagon Band of the Potawatomie – 4:40. Performers will demonstrate several different dance styles. Some of the dances have a spiritual origin and are associated with everyday life. The drum represents the heartbeat and is set in the center. Drummers will choose the appropriate songs to sing for each type of dance. During their presentation, they will invite audience members to come out and dance the intertribal song. Everyone is welcome to participate.
Motherland Cultural Connections – 5:10 Motherland Cultural Connections help audiences discover Africa’s diversity through live music paired with storytelling from African artists both local and touring. They provide a platform for African immigrants to showcase their talent, through music and storytelling.
Mostly Kosher – 5:40. Mostly Kosher, the Los Angeles-based Klezmer band radically reconstructs Judaic and American cultural music through klezmer beats and Yiddish refrains. The acclaimed ensemble is a musical feast. In response to the poetry and folk music of Judaic roots, their original voice resounds with themes of social justice, human dignity, and mutual understanding. Mostly Kosher is comprised of some of the highest regarded Los Angeles musicians: violinist Janice Mautner Markham, drummer Eric Hagstrom, bassist Adam Levy, guitarist Nadav Peled and Ben Tevik on clarinet and sax. The LA Weekly says, “Mostly Kosher is klezmer music to heal the soul!”.
Laura Armenta Dance Company – 6:25. The Laura Armenta Dance company will present a vibrant Bollywood-inspired fusion celebrating the energy, theatricality, and communal spirit of movement across cultures. Established in Mexico City in 1992, Laura Armenta Dance Company is a West Michigan-based contemporary dance company led by its founder and artistic director, Mexican-born choreographer Laura Armenta. Known for culturally rooted performance and expressive storytelling, the company brings contemporary movement into thoughtful conversation with ancient and global dance traditions, honoring their histories while exploring identity, connection, and shared humanity.
