Nature Center hosts educational programs for youth in county parks

Blandford Nature Center’s education team will be bringing youth- and family-focused environmental education programs to different county parks throughout the month of September. Plus, there will be some programs for adults!

BNC’s regionally recognized education programs will engage the unique natural landscapes of Johnson Park, Caledonia Lakeside Park, Townsend Park and Fallasburg Park to enhance community experience in every corner of the county. Programs range from nature-themed guided activities for ages 5-12 to adult beginning birding classes. Registration is required with a low-cost fee attached. To see the full range of programs in each park, head to bit.ly/BNCKCP to participate.

“We are excited to host families, youth and adults in their favorite Kent County Parks. These fun, engaging programs are a great way to begin appreciating the natural beauty that surrounds all of us and to inspire youngsters to take care of nature and each other,” offered Izzy Saylor, Off-Site Programs Coordinator for BNC.

Each week programs are located in a different park:

CALEDONIA LAKESIDE PARK in Caledonia, September 10, 13, & 14

TOWNSEND PARK in Cannonsburg, September 17, 19, 21

FALLASBURG PARK in Lowell, September 25, 26, & 27
