Hotel Walloon Resort invites the public to kick off the holiday season at the annual Village Lighting celebration on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the heart of Walloon Lake Village.

Bringing the warmth and wonder of the holiday season to Northern Michigan, the Village Lighting celebration will transform the community into a festive holiday destination. Attendees are invited to gather with family and friends as magical holiday lights illuminate the Village, creating a memorable evening filled with seasonal traditions, live entertainment, and activities for all ages.

Event highlights include a live performance by the Petoskey Steel Drum Band, a special visit from the North Pole, children's holiday activities, complimentary hot chocolate, a festive holiday cash bar, and a Holiday Passport featuring opportunities to win prizes.

The evening will also celebrate the spirit of giving through several community initiatives. Attendees can participate in a silent auction benefiting the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society, support Toys for Tots by bringing a new, unwrapped toy, and enjoy a traditional bean pot with donations benefiting the Petoskey Snowmobile Club.

“The Village Lighting is a wonderful tradition that brings our community together to celebrate the start of the holiday season,” said Emily Emmott, Hotel Walloon General Manager. “From the festive lights and family-friendly activities to the opportunity to support local organizations, it's an evening that truly captures the warmth and spirit of the Walloon Lake Village.”
