This Sunday - HSO Piano Trio in Beethoven & Fauré
FREE chamber concert
This Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 3 PM
First Reformed Church, 630 State Street, Holland, MI 49423
As part of the Free@3 Concert series, Concertmaster Amanda Dykhouse, assistant principal cellist Lee Copenhaver, and pianist Allison Shinnick Keep perform Beethoven's "Ghost" trio, renowned for its unsettling, atmospheric middle movement, with eerie tremolos and fragmented motifs that evoke a spectral, Gothic atmosphere. It is a landmark of his "heroic" middle period. Fauré’s elegant trio is full of warm melodies, rich harmonies, and virtuosic piano writing.
A special thank you to the First Reformed Church and the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council for sponsoring HSO chamber music.
