This October, Harmony Brewing Company is turning up the flavor and paying homage to one of hip-hop’s most iconic figures with a month-long menu inspired by the late, great MF DOOM, the masked supervillain of rap known for his intricate lyricism, comic book alter ego, and love of food.

Chef Gabe Araujo of Harmony Brewing Company took direct inspiration from MF DOOM’s legendary album Mm.. Food, along with a few of the villain’s own recipes, to craft dishes that blend creativity, comfort, and pure culinary bars. Each item on the menu nods to DOOM’s signature wordplay and larger-than-life persona.

Featured dishes include:

  • Rapp Snitch Knishes – Yukon gold potatoes, bacon, cheddar cheese, and roasted scallions wrapped in Harmony’s signature pizza dough. Served with sour cream and chive.

  • Beef Rapp – Tender beef shawarma loaded with lettuce, onion, chili and cucumber salad, pepperoncini, and white sauce on warm pita. Served with tortilla chips.

  • Fig Leaf Bicarbonate – A villainously good pizza topped with mozzarella, goat cheese, arugula, prosciutto, fig jam, and dried fig leaf.

  • Kookies – Chewy monster cookies packed with peanuts, M&M’s, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and marshmallow. Served with milk.

  • One Beer – Harmony’s own Party Store Pilsner, served michelada-style with a spicy mix, lime, and salt rim.

“MF DOOM has been a favorite artist of mine for many years, especially in my formative years as a young cook working my way up. His unique approach to hip hop was unlike anything I’d ever heard before, and was a huge inspiration for me. We liked the idea of doing pop up menus and just having fun and being creative. So it was great to pull together a menu with dishes that have been rattling around in my head for awhile. So far folks are loving them and its turned out great.” - Chef Gabe Araujo

The MF DOOM-inspired menu is available through the month of October at Harmony Brewing Company in Eastown.
