The Gilmore Car Museum released its annual car show and event season schedule today, providing dates for events throughout the 2024 season to take place on its gorgeous countryside campus just outside Kalamazoo. Notable events for the 2024 season:
  • Winter Motoring Meet on Saturday, January 27th; snowmobile exhibits, snowsuit competition, homemade soup & more winter family fun
  • Pint With The Past on Saturday, February 10th; 1920’s themed fundraiser tasting event
  • Vintage Boat & Travel Trailer Rally on Saturday, May 11th; open to all boat & trailer types with a focus on vintage & antique vehicles
  • Corks & Crafts on Saturday, May 11th; annual spring fundraiser tasting event taking place alongside the Vintage Boat & Travel Trailer Rally
  • Donald’s Dust-Off on Saturday, May 18th; all makes & models show to kick off summer
  • Best of the Bowties on Saturday, July 21st; the 2nd annual Corvette & Camaro show
  • MOPARs at the Red Barns on Saturday, July 27th; this annual showcase of MOPAR power & performance was one of the largest Gilmore Car Museum car shows in 2023
  • Red Barns Spectacular on Saturday, August 3rd; known as the “Grand Daddy” of them all, this show is open to any vehicle 25 years or older
  • Ford Model A Days on Friday, September 20th & Saturday, September 21st; a celebration of the heritage of a trusty American car - the Ford Model A
  • DeutscheMarques Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 12th; German cars, food, & beer with an Oompah band & traditional dress contest for all ages
  • Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, October 23rd; a FREE cruise-in style family Halloween event for the community
  • Winter Wonderland Holiday Experience begins Friday, November 29th; a fully-immersive event featuring a drive-thru lights show, visits with Santa, and dozens of indoor & outdoor family activities
In addition to our annual car shows and community events, museum guests will enjoy a variety of special programming throughout the winter months:
  • Winter Lecture Series takes place every Sunday at 2pm from January through April & features several engaging topics ranging from automotive industry insights, to local Michigan history
  • Behind the Scenes Tours and Daily Docent Tours begin in February & give guests a deeper look into the museum’s collection & history
  • Hoods Up Horsepower Tours will take place from March 4th - March 18th & feature “hoods up” on all of the cars on display, as well as special engine tours with industry professionals on select dates
