The entire community is invited to a night of free summer this Thursday, August 15 at the annual Street Performer Series Block Party in Downtown Holland, hosted by Gentex Corporation! On August 15, families are invited to enjoy the final Street Performer Series event of the summer all along 8th Street and then stop by the Holland Civic Center Place parking lot from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm for fun giveaways, carnival games, live music, free food and so much more! In celebration of their 50th Anniversary, Gentex will also be hosting a free fireworks spectacular at Kollen Park that evening for the entire community to enjoy.
During the Street Performer Series Block Party from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm on Thursday, attendees can enjoy the famous Gentex prize wheel, a dunk tank, plinko game, yard games, and lots of amazing giveaways and freebies all night long. The Block Party will also feature balloon animals provided by Steve Tamayo and face painting by Shel Bell Sullivan! Popular local singer and guitarist Rich Burkholder will entertain the crowd with covers of popular hit songs all evening long. Be sure to check out the Gentex vehicles on display too! Free hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided the Holland Civic Center, with food trucks, Holy Smokers BBQ, Outlaw Roasted Corn, and Tacon Madre will also be offering free food for attendees. Free ice cream will be provided by the Polar Patrol while supplies last too!
Following the Block Party, the community is invited across the street to Kollen Park to enjoy live music from Avalon the Band from 8:30 pm – 9:30 pm, followed by a free fireworks display at dusk! Join the fun in Downtown Holland as Gentex celebrates 50 successful years of business!
