Series concludes with July 31, Aug. 28 after-hours events
There are still two more chances to explore John Ball Zoo after hours during one of its upcoming Summer Nights events.
The final Summer Nights events will be held 6-9 p.m. on July 31 and Aug. 28 and feature a variety of entertainment including musical acts, experiences like the zip line, ropes course and camel rides, delicious dinner options, animal activities and more. Tickets are $16.95 for children and $21.95 for adults. Zoo members enjoy a 20% discount.
“Guests have two more chances to experience our Summer Nights series and celebrate our beautiful Michigan summers among the more than 2,000 animals we care for at John Ball Zoo,” said Mariah Malone, events coordinator at the Zoo. “This is a great time to explore the Zoo with less crowds, fun entertainment and activities for people of all ages.”
The July 31 event will feature Detroit Music Award winner Roots Vibration, showcasing its repertoire of reggae, Afrobeats and other musical stylings of the Caribbean. Grand Rapids-based jam-rock supergroup Spuddies will close out the Summer Nights series on Aug. 28. Embodied Arts will entertain guests with a variety of jaw-dropping performances on both nights.
The Summer Nights series contributes to the Zoo’s conservation mission by providing engaging and educational experiences to visitors, generating funds to support conservation efforts and shining a spotlight on the importance of wildlife conservation.
