February 29, 2024 is Brad Day!
Shanty Creek Resort is once again declaring February 29th as Brad Day at Schuss Mountain. The story behind this special day is complicated and shall remain cloaked in mystery (perhaps a challenge for someone in the media to dig a little deeper?).
Regardless of the background story, on February 29 Shanty Creek Resort will offer the following specials to anyone named Brad:
- Free Lift Tickets for Brad
- Free Rentals for Brad
- All Brads can stay, the night of or the night before Brad Day, for $29
(per person, double occupancy)
- There will be a section in Ivan's "Reserved for Brad"
- There will be a Men's, Women’s, and Brad's restroom in the Day Lodge

- Bradley Cooper, Hollywood star
- Brad Miller, former MHSAA Ski coach of the year and Ski Coaches Hall of Fame member
- Brad Paisley, country music star

- Brad Kik, co-founder of Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology
Plus, we will award prizes for the Brad traveling the farthest and for the Brad bringing the most non-Brads with them. Note: All Brads must provide ID at any of SCR’s Ticket Windows.
