Step behind the scenes to uncover the secrets of the Hackley and Hume houses like never before. The Hackley and Hume Historic Site invites you to an All Access Tour, offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at areas rarely seen by the public.

 

This unique experience grants visitors access to attics, basements, and porches, which are spaces not included in the classic tour. Along the way, guests will hear captivating stories about the Hackley and Hume families, discover details of ongoing restoration projects, and learn about exciting new research that sheds light on the history of these remarkable homes.

 

"Every time we open these spaces to the public, we hear the same thing: people had no idea how much history was tucked into the corners of these houses," said Hackley and Hume Historic Site Director Erin Schmitz. "The All Access Tour lets us share the parts of the story you can't get anywhere else, from the craftsmanship hidden in the attics to the latest research and stories we're uncovering about the families who lived here."

 

The All Access Tour will be offered on two evenings in 2026:

 

  • Friday, June 12, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

  • Friday, September 18, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

 

The All Access Tours will take place at the Hackley & Hume Historic Site, with check-in at the City Barn, located behind the homes. Free parking is available on Webster Avenue and 6th Street. Tickets are $20 for non-members and $15 for members, and space is limited, so advance registration is encouraged.
