South Haven is gearing up to welcome the holiday fun with its annual Holiday in the Park celebration on Friday, November 24. Holiday at the Park attendees will get the opportunity to take complimentary photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 4:45-6:30pm. Guests will also get to witness the annual holiday lighting ceremony at 5:30pm. Other activities include s’mores around fire pits, ice skating at the Pavilion Rink, dessert and coffee from the Sweet Escape truck, and a Holiday Ornament Workshop, courtesy of the South Haven Center for the Arts. Phoenix Street will also be lit up with a gorgeous Luminary Display benefitting the Caring Circle’s Hospice at Home program. At 4:30pm, the event will feature a Holiday Parade following the trail of luminaries from city hall toward the beach. “The holidays are such a special time in South Haven, and we’re excited to kick off all the festivities with Holiday in the Park,” said Jennifer Sistrunk, executive director of the South Haven Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Many people think of South Haven as a beach town, but there is so much to explore and do here in the winter months too. Holiday in the Park is a great example of how both locals and visitors can enjoy our community in the colder months.” For more details about the event, www.southhaven.org/events/holiday-in-the-park.
