The Comedy Project is still a fairly new addition to the Grand Rapids entertainment scene, but this comedy and cocktails theater has quickly become one of the “can’t miss” activities for locals and visitors alike.
Every Friday and Saturday night, TCP features fully produced sketch comedy shows similar to Saturday Night Live or The Second City as well as a variety of improv comedy shows.Their currently running sketch revue, “Beached Bodies”,will leave you sunburned and thirsty from all the hot comedy and begging for some lemonade to wash down all the delicious jokes!
The Comedy Project is also one of the most unique venues around for private events like company parties, rehearsal dinners, birthdays, retirements, bar mitzvahs and more! The theater can accommodate up to 95 guests, and all private event packages include a personalized comedy show for your guests. They also have a full bar featuring dozens of signature cocktails made with their impressive selection of Ole Smoky moonshine flavors.
If you’re looking for a dynamic addition to your next corporate meeting, TCP’s RoboCorp program brings an element of fun and team building while also delivering highly applicable takeaways! During 2 hour, half-day or full-day sessions, TCP facilitators guide participants through a series of highly interactive activities demonstrating how to use the principles of improv to hone skills in fostering support and being present.
The Comedy Project also has a dedicated comedy training center, where anyone interested in trying out the art of improv comedy, sketch comedy writing or stand up comedy can come to learn in a safe and supportive environment taught by a TCP staff member.
