In 2009, the United States Congress named September 11 a National Day of Service and Remembrance. On this day, Americans across the country are called to volunteer in their local communities in tribute to the individuals lost and injured in the attacks, first responders, and the many who have risen in service to defend freedom.
The “We the People” beam pieces from the World Trade Center Towers attacked on 9/11 serve as the focal point in this moving exhibit. Join us in teaching the next generation where you were on September 11, 2001 and what it felt like on September 12, 2001.
Don’t miss the Patriot Day exhibit at the USS Silversides Submarine Museum until June 2024 – a chance to honor 9/11 and its heroes
