There are several new brewery projects in the works and we will be showcasing a few of West Michigan’s newest beer makers on this special bus tour.

As part of Kalamazoo Craft Beverage Week, which will run from Jan. 29 through Feb. 6, the bus tour will hold its registration from noon to 1 p.m. at Old Burdick’s inside the Radisson Plaza Hotel on Saturday, Jan. 29. We encourage guests to eat lunch prior to departure.

If you need overnight accommodations, we have a preferred rate at the Radisson through this link: https://bit.ly/3CHQ3NS

The trip also includes complimentary bottled water and snacks on the bus, as well as beer samples or a pint and production or facility tours of each location. We’ll get a chance to meet with the brewers and brewery owners to hear about each businesses.

In some cases, the brewery may not be open to the public yet.

Our first stop of the afternoon will be to Mattawan’s Murray Street Brewing Co., which has seen a series of delays caused by the pandemic. The brewery team is optimistic it will open before the end of 2021.

From there, we’ll head to Plainwell and visit with Adam Wisniewski, who has brewed in Kalamazoo for years including stints at Rupert’s Brewhouse and most recently Wax Wings Brewing Co.

Wisniewski’s new Deep End Brewing Co. will be located across the street from Old Mill Brewpub. Construction and weather-permitting, we’ll walk through the space as it continues construction work.

The tour then returns to Downtown Kalamazoo to visit with Ted Linabury and his new Brewery Outre, to be located on the ground level of the Harrison Circle Apartments.

The bus will return to Old Burdick’s around 5:45 p.m.
