A rare opportunity has arrived to tour the privately-owned Little Traverse Lighthouse on Harbor Point, Michigan. The Harbor Springs Area Historical Society is deeply grateful to the Harbor Point Association and their Lighthouse Committee for their permission to host these tours.

Tours take place on Friday & Saturday, Oct. 1 & 2. Tour times and other details are available on our website. Each 75-minute, guided tour costs $60 per person. Tickets are nonrefundable and payment must be made at the time of the reservation.

The society is also thrilled to welcome Ric Mixter for a lecture titled “Offshore Outposts” on Friday, Oct. 1 at 7:00 pm. Ric is a former president of the Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association and a frequent contributor to Beacon magazine. This presentation is a must for lighthouse fans and people interested in how men survived working at the most desolate lights. Tickets for the lecture are $25 each or $15 when bundled with a lighthouse tour.
