The annual Kalamazoo Foodways Symposium will focus on the future of foodways, and will provide a platform for discussions about the intersection of food, culture, health and the environment. It will provide a space to talk about how the things we have learned through history, traditions, and culture can inform us to move forward and build a just, healthy, and sustainable future for all.
The 2021 symposium re-boots the theme and speakers from our 2020 planned event, which had to be cancelled. We have reimagined the symposium as a week-long set of discussions, talks, kitchen demos, and cook-alongs that you can join from your home or workplace.
Sessions will take place throughout the day and evening on Monday, April 5, through Saturday, April 10.
