On Saturday, June 18th in beautiful Kollen Park on Lake Macatawa, you can join in the many events that will make up the Holland, MI Juneteenth Freedom Festival celebration.
Juneteenth is a holiday that commemorates the day in 1865 when the enslaved people of Texas finally learned that slavery had been abolished and that they were free.
I AM Academy is excited to sponsor the annual Juneteenth Freedom Festival in the community of Holland for a time of learning and celebrating black culture and history and connecting with each other.
On June 18th, come out and celebrate with us from 3pm-9pm in this annual community event that includes live music, food trucks, kids activities, guest speakers, local vendors, a vaccination booth and more!
The kick off event will take place Friday, June 17th at Park Theatre with a Soulful Music concert. Saturday morning from 9am-1pm, June 18th, the Juneteenth Festival will also host a 3 on 3 basketball tournament.
