Holiday Artist Market in Traverse City

As we move into November, the annual Holiday Artist Market at the Dennos Museum Center in Traverse City is right around the corner! It takes place the first weekend in November, and features both fine art and homemade goods, including pottery, jewelry, paintings, and more. It’s the perfect place to pick up some one-of-a-kind holiday gifts, while also supporting the Dennos Museum Center through this annual fundraiser.

Maritime History Programs in Harbor Springs

If you’d like to learn more about the area’s maritime history, the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society has a few programs coming up in early November that you’ll want to check out. They’re hosting a program on Tall Ships in Lake Michigan on November 9th, which brings to life the vessels, captains, and crews of historic sailing ships from Lake Michigan, and another on the Gales of November on November 11th, showcasing these intense weather systems which have been known to produce 120 mph winds and 30 foot waves. Both programs will be presented online via Zoom, and advanced registration is required.
