Apple Fest at Virtue Cider on Saturday

It’s definitely apple season! Virtue Cider in Fennville is celebrating tomorrow, on Saturday, with their annual Apple Fest. It’s the perfect spot to get into the spirit of “cider season” with a full day of fun, including a bonfire, cider tastings, apple archery, and more. Apple Fest at Virtue Cider is free to attend, and all ages are welcome.

Sound Immersion Meditation at Kalamazoo Valley Museum on Saturday

This is a really neat event if you’re in need of some relaxation and want to try something new this weekend. You can visit the planetarium at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum for sound immersion meditation right under the stars. They’ll have all sorts of ancient sound instruments, like Tibetan singing bowls to help immerse you in sound and lead you through relaxation and meditation. They have two free sessions scheduled for tomorrow, but you will need to register ahead of time on the Kalamazoo Valley Museum website.

Zoorassic Park at Binder Park Zoo Now Open

You might not normally expect to encounter dinosaurs when you visit the zoo, but now you will when you visit Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek! Their brand-new Zoorassic Park exhibit just opened this week, and you’ll find a herd of colorful, life-size dinosaur replicas at the zoo. Kids can dig for fossils, solve puzzles to learn about the dinosaurs, and have tons of great photo ops. Zoorassic Park will be a permanent exhibit at the zoo, so if you can’t make it out before the zoo closes for the season on October 24th, the dinosaurs will be waiting for you next Spring!
