Things To Do, Places To Go for 6/4/21

Festival of the Arts: Plein Air” this weekend in GR

This weekend is traditionally when the Festival of the Arts happens in Grand Rapids, and they’re back with a new format this year, with their “Plein Air” event focusing on outdoor art and music. They’ll have local musicians performing throughout downtown Grand Rapids, three city parks will host kids’ painting events, and you’ll find over 100 artists painting and drawing to create art in downtown’s social zones.

All Summer: Cooking Classes at “Art of Cookery” in Whitehall

If you’re heading up to the Muskegon area this summer, there’s a fun opportunity to expand your cooking skills in nearby Whitehall! The “Art of Cookery” is a cooking school that offers both private and public cooking classes, with a great variety of different topics to help expand your culinary skills this summer. Some of the Art of Cookery’s upcoming classes this month include making veggie burgers, a knife skills class, kids cooking classes, and more. I love taking different cooking classes, since it’s a great way to try some new dishes, and break out of any menu-planning ruts you might be in.

Waypost Brewing Co: Food Truck Features all weekend in Fennville

With the summer weather this weekend, Waypost Brewing Company in Fennville is a great place to stop by for a beer on their patio, and this weekend they’ll also be featuring a different food truck each day! You can visit today for crepes, tomorrow for a taco truck, or Sunday for all types of wraps and handhelds to enjoy outdoors on the patio.
