Take a trip to Downtown Grand Rapids for some Valentine’s Day fun with the kiddos from February 11th-17th. The Valent-ICE exhibit is part of the World of Winter Festival happening in Downtown GR, showcasing dozens of professionally-carved ice sculptures. The Grand Rapids Children’s Museum is adding to the fun, in conjunction with their brand new “Molly of Denali” exhibit – they’ll have a life-sized ice sculpture of Suki, featured on the show, and an interactive dog sled located right outside the Museum. This ice sculpture helps promote Indigenous education and representation, thanks to the generous support of Gun Lake Casino. And of course, you’ll want to head inside for all the fun exhibits and activities, including the “Molly of Denali” exhibit, running now through mid May.
You can get out and enjoy some great craft beer this weekend at The Livery in Benton Harbor! Starting at 8pm, you’ll hear live music from Daniel Deitrich, Cliff Ritchey, and Josh Kaufman- who you may recognize as the winner of “The Voice” season 6. This is going to be a great concert with awesome music and unique twists you won’t want to miss. And of course, you’ll also enjoy The Livery’s featured 17 taps of their “Hand-Forged” craft beer and hand-tossed pizzas.
Of course, Valentine’s Day is coming up next week on Tuesday, but you can begin the celebrations now with a Valentine’s Day Weekend Wine Tasting Flight at Modales Wines in Fennville. You can visit them now through the 14th and get 4 2oz pours and wine chocolate to go with them – yum! This is a great date option for you and your sweetheart, or even a friend or loved one to celebrate Valentine’s Day!
