Coopersville Historical Museum – Cemetery Tour
Join the Coopersville Historical Museum for their Cemetery Tours tomorrow, beginning at 11:00 a.m. You’ll travel to the Coopersville-Polton Cemetery where a historian will guide you to the notable gravesites of community members who have a story to tell (from the grave that is!) If murder, mayhem, a Civil war veteran left for dead and the stories of other colorful legends sound intriguing, well, that’s because they are! Join the mystery and the legends of Coopersville.
Lakeshore Harvest Ride – Saturday, September 16
Explore Michigan’s heartland, filled with wineries, cider mills, farms, and art studios. The Lakeshore Harvest Ride, on Saturday, September 16th, is a Michigan fall staple. With over 60 miles, riders will have a chance to enjoy the different landscapes across Mid-Michigan. Some of my favorite stops for quenching your thirst are Cogdal and Fenn Valley Vineyards, Waypost Brewing, or Virtue Cider. For a taste of fall, grab some apples at Overhiser Orchards. And then, when you’re done for the day, I highly recommend making a reservation for a fabulous meal at Salt of the Earth in Fennville.
Fallasburg Arts Festival – September 16, 17, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Fall wouldn’t be the same without the annual Fallasburg Arts Festival in Lowell! For over 40 years LowellArts! has promoted and supported artists through exhibitions, performances and events and this weekend over 100 artists will display their unique fine art and crafts along with lively music, delicious food booths, and entertaining demonstrations inside the pavilion. Kids will love the children’s craft area where they can bang on drums, make paper puppets and decorate a pumpkin.. The festival is free, so bring the family out for a day of fall fun!
