Spring Break Fun from WMTA

This week is spring break for many kids around Grand Rapids and we shared some activities for kids to enjoy throughout West Michigan with the folks at FOX17.

Grand Rapids Public Museum

Bring the entire family for Spring Break fun at the Grand Rapids Public Museum!  There’s tons of fun that all comes included with your general admission ticket. You’ll come face-to-face with life-size models of the fascinating reptiles that flew in the age of dinosaurs, explore favorite exhibits like the Streets of Old Grand Rapids, you can visit the Museum’s baby Lake Sturgeon, play arcade games, and so much more. And if you live in Kent County, you’ll get free parking, reduced adult admission, and free admission for kids up to age 17.

Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park

The warmer weather this week is perfect for heading outdoors, and Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park in Alto is opening specially for Spring Break! It’s only about a half hour drive from Grand Rapids, and makes for a fun day of visiting with the animals. You can get hands-on with the Animal Feeding Stations, and visit with the giraffes, otters, petting zoo, and more. They’ll be open now through April 11th, and you can even purchase a membership when you visit to get free admission all year long.

BattleGR Tactical Games

If you’re looking for a full day (or week!) of fun for your kids, check out the Spring Break Day Camps at BattleGR Tactical Games right in Comstock Park! They’re filling this week with laser tag, archery, dodgeball, board games, and tons more fun. Your kids can join for the full week or just for a day or two, with a snack and lunch included each day. You can get signed up on BattleGR’s website, or visit with the whole family during their open play hours.
