Best known for impeccably maintained ORV and snowmobile trails and world-class fishing on the Pere Marquette, Little Manistee and Baldwin Rivers, Lake County also offers picturesque hiking on numerous trails including the North Country Trail, unique hunting and camping, and access to numerous lakes and streams for water sports.

Lake County is also home to the historic African American resort community of Idlewild and various festivals, including Blessing of the Bikes in May, The Irons Flea Roast & Ox Market in June and Trout-a-Rama and Luther Logging Days in July as well as a free weekly summer concert series at Wenger Pavilion in Baldwin.
