Grand Traverse Distillery (Grand Rapids)
Grand Traverse Distillery was founded in 2005 by Kent Rabish, with one goal – to make artisan craft spirits using agriculture from Northern Michigan that would not only rival foreign imports, but to raise the bar and create a truly hand crafted spirit focusing on quality above all else. We strive to “End Your Dependence on Foreign Alcohol” and we think that with every drop we distill, barrel, age and bottle.
It all starts at the Send Brothers Farm, less than 10 miles from the distillery, where all of our corn, wheat and rye are grown. This local grain is what we use to produce all of our award winning spirits including our small batch rye and wheat vodkas, whiskies including rye and bourbon, and our botanical gins. Our rum on the other hand is fermented and distilled in-house from the highest quality Caribbean molasses we could find.
Kent's son and head distiller, Landis Rabish, is truly dedicated to the craft of high end spirits,and we have many awards and gold medals to prove it.
Customers are welcome to stop by our distillery, located in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan, or one of our other tasting rooms spread throughout the state for tastes, cocktails and bottle sales, as well as “Spirited” merchandise, one-of-a-kind mixers and home aging barrels.
