Lakeshore Museum Center Hosts “Fright Night at the Museum” For Halloween Weekend

The Lakeshore Museum Center has a special event planned for Halloween weekend that they are calling Fright Night at the Museum. Visitors will navigate their way through a maze of misfortune as the Museum comes to life with the very horrors that make up our worst nightmares.

Fright Night at the Museum will be Friday, October 29, and Saturday, October 30, from 7:30-10:00 p.m. at the Lakeshore Museum Center at 430 W. Clay Avenue in Muskegon. To complete the maze before closing, visitors must be in line no later than 9:45 p.m.

“We have a really special space at the Lakeshore Museum Center, and we wanted to do something that visitors would remember this Halloween weekend,” says Lakeshore Museum Center Volunteer and Safety Manager Gwen Adams. “This won’t be the kind of event you think of when you first hear ‘night at the museum.’ We’re adding some ‘Halloween’ elements to it, so we hope that it’s a little bit scary and a lot of fun.”

This event may be too scary for young children, so it is recommended for visitors age 13 and up. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased ahead of time at or at the door. If tickets are purchased ahead of time, please bring your receipt for confirmation.

Additionally, those who purchase tickets online will receive a $2 off coupon to the Hackley and Hume Historic Sites Obituary Tour. This event is also taking place October 29 and 30.
