Cheers to the 29th harvest and fall season at Round Barn Estate in Baroda! On Saturday, September 4, check out their Harvest Party where you can kick back in the vineyard and enjoy the fruits of their labor with live music, cold drinks, and good food – what better way to celebrate! Walloon Lake Village is celebrating the year-long Hemingway Homecoming over Labor Day Weekend. Join them in celebration of Ernest Hemingway and Hadley Richardson’s 100th year wedding anniversary. Eat and drink like Hemingway with a special menu from Pinehurst Inn in Horton Bay and cocktails crafted with Papas Pilar Rum. This Labor Day Weekend, head to Lake Bluff Park in St. Joseph for some great art and antiques! On Saturday, September 4th, visit Lake Bluff Artisan Fair, an eclectic craft fair offering a variety of handcrafted goods from over 50 local vendors. Also at Lake Bluff Park on Sunday, September 5th, find hidden treasures at Antiques on the Bluff, a premier antique show that overlooks Lake Michigan. 

Visit the Petoskey Area over Labor Day Weekend and check out the Boyne City Kiwanis Car Show, held annually on the holiday weekend. Preview night is Friday during the last Stroll the Streets of the season with the car show taking place on Saturday on the shores of Lake Charlevoix. A great town, great cars, and supporting a great cause!

Newaygo‘s Annual Labor Day Weekend Logging Festival is back! Kicking off on Friday, September 3rd, the 2021 event will have the popular Lumberjack Competition, chainsaw carvings, arts & crafts vendors, parade, and more.

On Saturday, September 4th, High Caliber Karting and Entertainment is hosting the first annual Meridian Motor Fest in Okemos! All proceeds from the event will go to support Meridian CARES. Trophies will be awarded for 16 different classes, with three additional competitions like loudest exhaust, stereo, and car limbo. Visit the event’s Facebook page for more details. 

Greater Lansing is the place to scare up some great fun and festivals over the Labor Day Weekend. On September 4, head to Festival of Oddities in Charlotte, a daylong celebration of all things weird and macabre in Michigan. 

Also in Lansing, head to the Michigan Chicken Wing Festival on September 4-5 for two days of fun-filled live music, wing eating contest, wing sampling, kids zone, food vendors, and more. Admission is free for cancer patients and survivors, senior citizens, and kids ages 12 and under.

The All Crafts Fair in South Haven will be held in beautiful Stanley Johnston Park on September 4th and 5th over Labor Day weekend. Over 150 unique craft vendors will be selling their hand-made items, in addition to fine arts. The air will be filled with the delicious smell of food as well, from concessions staples such as elephant ears, kettle corn, and roasted almonds to the more substantial wood-fired pizzas, wraps, brats, gyros, and BBQ pork. Come shop the beautiful art, crafts, jewelry and delicious food! 

Enjoy the performing arts this Labor Day weekend with The Big Red Show! at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts. Powerhouse Meghan “Big Red” Murphy will be on stage performing in an evening of songs, stories, and sass that you won’t want to miss!

The extended Labor Day weekend beckons for a road trip: an opportunity to discover the quaint communities of Coldwater, Bronson, Quincy, and Union City with a getaway to West Michigan’s Coldwater Country.
