The Holland Farmers Market will open for the 2021 season this Wednesday, May 12 at 8:00 am and will be open every Wednesday and Saturday following from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm, rain or shine. The Market is located at the Eighth Street Market Place (150 West 8th Street) in Downtown Holland, also home to the Holland Civic Center Place. Each season, the Holland Farmers Market brings together over 100 local farmers, specialty food vendors and food trucks, selling fresh fruits and vegetables, bread and baked goods, honey, maple syrup, jams, meat, gourmet foods and so much more. Customers are encouraged to shop early in the day for the best product assortment.
Bridge Cards and Pandemic EBT cards are both accepted at the Holland Farmers Market. The Market also participates in the Double Up Food Bucks program, allowing Bridge Card holders to “double up” their spending at the Market. Senior FRESH and WIC Project FRESH are also accepted at the Market. Customers are encouraged to visit the Market staff inside the front vestibule of the Holland Civic Center for details on using food assistance programs at the Market. Market Bucks gift certificates are also available for purchase inside the Civic Center. Market Bucks are accepted by most vendors and never expire. While some vendors accept do accept credit cards, customers are encouraged to have cash on hand as well or to visit the ATM inside the Civic Center if needed.

We are also launching a number of new community outreach programs with Higher Health Chiropractic this year that we are excited about and we’re looking forward to strengthening our continued partnerships with organizations like Ottawa Food to help ensure that our entire community has access to fresh, healthy and local food.”
As part of the partnership with Higher Health Chiropractic, the Holland Farmers Market and Higher Heath teams will work together to launch several new community programs at the Market, including a Bridge Card Incentive Program, a Kids Produce Program and a Healthy Eating Video Series. The Bridge Card Incentive Program will begin this Wednesday, May 12 and the Kids Produce Program will kick off next month. Customers are encouraged to visit the Higher Health table outside the Holland Civic Center every Wednesday and Saturday for additional details on these programs and more healthy lifestyle advice.
Among the new vendors joining the Holland Farmers Market for the first time this year are Endless Meadows Family Farm, Gallefe, Ice Cream Jeanie, JEM Macarons, Lively Up Kombucha, New Mission Milling, Ninth Wonder Treats, The Beard and The Gal and White Barn Flower Company. Mezkla Taqueria and Fruteria will also be joining the Market as a new food truck this year. Black Sheep Gastronomy, Fat Boys Berries, Fustini’s of Holland, Gary’s Berries (formerly Jerry’s Berries), Marguerite’s (formerly Jammin’ with Marguerite), Jerky N More and Jus’ Poppin’ are among the vendors that are returning to the Market after taking last season off.
The Holland Farmers Market is following all orders from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and the Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) to ensure the safe operation of the Market in light of the on-going Covid-19 pandemic. Per the MDHHS order, masks are required for all patrons ages two and up. Patrons that are unable or unwilling to wear a mask over their nose, mouth and chin should make other arrangements to shop.
