Fun Summer Events in West Michigan

There are several fun summer events coming up in West Michigan. See our interview with FOX 17 Morning News to discuss some great upcoming events!

Grand Haven Musical Fountain

An annual favorite in West Michigan, the Grand Haven Musical Fountain is a must-do when you’re in the area, and you can catch shows every night during the month of July! Bring your own outdoor seating or blanket to grab a spot in the waterfront stadium, and enjoy the musical fountain as it dances and illuminates to a great playlist of songs. They have some fun theme nights coming up this month, including “Christmas in July” on the 24th and “Star Wars Night” on the 31st. Shows are free, and start at 10:10 each evening.

Movies on Deck: Muskegon

Movies on the Deck are back in Muskegon this summer, with open-air screenings taking place on the deck of the LST 393 Veterans Museum, right on the waterfront. Make sure to bring your own seating, and they’ll have concessions available, as well as accept donations to support the museum. The free screenings start at dusk, and you can catch the original Jumanji on July 16th, or Toy Story on August 6th.

West Michigan Photo Contest

And this year’s West Michigan Photo Contest has just kicked off, and you’re invited to enter your best West Michigan photos for a chance to win some great prizes! You can enter photos that you’ve taken from anywhere in West Michigan, from the southern border up to Mackinac Island and into the UP. You can find all the prizes and rules on our website, and just make sure to send your photos in by July 28th!
