There are several fun events coming up over the next few weeks!
Courtney Sheffer with West Michigan Tourist Association joined FOX 17 Morning News live to tell us more about these events for the whole family.
“Creative Connections” Game: Explore SW MI Arts
“Creative Connections” is a new game throughout Southwest Michigan designed to get you out and exploring the great arts, music, and theatre that we have in the area! You can pick up or download a “Creative Connections” brochure, and use it to visit and collect stamps at different arts locations throughout the area to collect stamps, and once you’ve collected three, you can start redeeming them for prizes! You can collect stamps all summer long, and you’ll get to visit places like the Krasl Art Center, The Mendel Center, and the Silver Beach Carousel, so it’s definitely a win-win!
Pure Ludington Sunset Beach Bonfires
Ludington is hosting a monthly sunset bonfire on the beach for the community, and it’s the perfect way to wrap up a summer evening. Bring your beach chairs and blankets to Stearns Park Beach to enjoy a bonfire, live music, and, of course, a beautiful sunset. These free events will take place the fourth Thursday of June, July, and August, with plenty to explore in Ludington if you’d like to make a whole day trip out of it and stop by Jump Around Fun Center, or the Historic White Pine Village before heading to the beach for sunset.
Three Rivers 64th Annual Water Festival
Three Rivers, located south of Kalamazoo, is holding their 64th Annual Water Festival this coming weekend! The festival kicks off Thursday and runs through Saturday, located in beautiful Scidmore Park, right where the three rivers converge. The festival has something for everyone, whether you want to check out the midway or Kids Zone, grab a prime spot for the parade, catch an outdoor movie, check out the Classic Car Show, or stick around for live music and fireworks to close out the festival on Saturday night.
