Fall Fun in West Michigan – October 17, 2021

It’s hard to believe we are halfway through October already, but don’t worry, because there are still lots of fun fall activities for the family to enjoy. We talked to our friends at FOX 17 to share some events for everyone to enjoy around West Michigan.

Coopersville & Marne Railway – Pumpkin Trail

The Coopersville & Marne Railway presents its annual Pumpkin Train, where you can join the Famous Pumpkin, along with Stewy the Scarecrow and Lil’ Crow as they entertain passengers of all ages during a leisurely 90-minute ride. They sing, they dance, and they tell funny stories aboard the vintage train as it makes its way to Marne and back. Featuring century-old passenger cars and a 1950’s era locomotive, the train follows a route dating to 1858. After the train’s return to Coopersville, the kids get to visit the pumpkin patch where they can pick just the right pumpkin to take home.

Blandford Nature Center – Halloween Events

Join the Blandford Nature Center for two great Halloween events this October! On October 29th, visit them in Grand Rapids for a spooky night of crafts, games, lantern-lit trails, and animal encounters at Wizards, Witches, and Owls. Or participate in the Blandford Halloween Hunt on October 29th and 30th, where you’re invited to put on your costume and go on a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt, exploring all corners of Blandford’s property! Learn spooky facts and creepy tales of Michigan nature, and receive a prize upon solving all the mysteries.

West Michigan Beer Tours

West Michigan Beer Tours is hosting their annual Halloween Beer Tours in Kalamazoo at the end of the month! This spooky bus tour features a brewery with a haunt, one of Kalamazoo’s best haunted attractions, and the chance to try some great fall seasonal beers. Be prepared for a night of frights, flights and fun. Costumes are encouraged, and you can sign up for the Halloween Beer Tour on October 29th or 30th.
