Santa's special train will be in Coopersville and running every Saturday and Sunday from Thanksgiving weekend through December 23. Tickets are on sale now. For the past several years, all departures have sold out. Advance sales are highly recommended. Special seating arrangements can be made for groups of six to sixty! Each departure can seat 230 passengers. See the website at www.MItrain.net for departure details. Santa has a special seat in each of the four train cars. Elves will escort the children for their time to sit with the Jolly Fellow. Many kids wear their PJ's! Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras. Each child gets a nice toy from Santa's Big Red Bag! The Story-Telling Princess will read The Polar Express which was written by Grand Rapids native, Chris Van Ellsburg. The friendly Conductor will punch every ticket. Christmas music plays in each of the vintage train cars. The cars were built between 1919 and 1932 and are decorated for Christmas. All train cars are comfortably heated and have restrooms.
