The Grand Rapids Kent County Convention / Arena Authority's Community Inclustion Group present the Latin Entertainment Series event "Sean Blackman in Transit presents Tango y Flamenco Fusion" at DeVos Performance Hall on Thursday, August 30th at 7:30PM.

Tango y Flamenco Fusion is part one of the Latin Entertainment Series and features U.S. Argentine Tango Champions Daniel y Amanada, pianist Bob Mervak and violinist Sonia Lee. Amanda Accica y Daniel Moreno are the 2016 USA Tango Champions, based out of Argentine Tango Detroit. Amanda & Daniel spent many years studying in Argentina and for the past three years they have been competing nationally and continue to stay on top receiving numerous accolades becoming one of the most sought after teachers and performers in the area.

Bob Mervak has been an active member of the Detroit music community since 1997 and has worked with many of the musicians who embody its collective talent. Mervak has performed in various settings, toured extensively and is a phenomenal writer, director and performer.

In Transit is a monthly world music concert series originated in Detroit, produced by Sean Blackman at the Garden Theatre. Blackman has been honored with many Detroit Music Awards, has launched and directed World Music Festivals and worked as creative director of entertainment for corporate events for Red Bull, Chrysler and the grand opening of the McNamara Terminal at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport - one of the nations most state-of-the-art terminals.
