How many images have you encountered today? We are inundated with imagery at a frenetic pace, and we rarely consider how those images came to us or why they bring us joy. “Storied Drawing” sheds light upon the lovingly laborious process behind the images we experience in the world around us. This group show brings together four diverse visual storytellers whose drawing-based works live in the worlds of .gifs, interactive illustration (featuring conductive ink!), animation, editorial illustration, home goods, and more!

We all have a story to tell, and we experience a powerful sense of community and beauty when we share our stories. By creating personal, playful, and authentic stories each of the dynamic artists in “Storied Drawings” share a piece of themselves in the process. Whether functional objects, children’s books, or well-designed digital experiences, visual storytelling has to potential to positively impact our quality of life if we take the time to let it. This exhibit is a space to pause and ponder in a world of immediacy: what is your story, and how will you tell it?
